My daughter wanted to create her own quilt. She found the ladder quilt block because it resembled the popular chevron fabric. We went shopping to find the fabric. She preferred the batik colors and choose 4 different shades and patterns of yellow, orange, red, green , blue, and purple.

She called this her Value Quilt where each color is represents a different value based on the Young Women theme where good works are represented by yellow, purple by integrity, etc.. The white in the quilt is faith and the quilt will be bound in gold which represents virtue.
Because she wanted to create it herself we first made another one just like it but not as big. She will use hers on her bed over the duvet.

It is beautiful, Amy. Please tell Hannah I am very impressed. You are doing a great job helping her to gain a love of quilting.
Thank you Kay! She is loving it and I am enjoying that we have a hobby to share.
