The biggest mystery was not knowing what a mystery quilt was.  Clarification came at the latest meeting of the Stashing Sisters where Cindy explained:

1. Directions for a mystery quilt are revealed step by step without knowing all the steps or seeing the finished product.
2. Variables depend on the creator of the mystery quilt process with some offering fabrics and  instructions usually on a weekly or monthly basis.
3. Mystery Quilts are highly fun and can become addictive.

The Stashing Sisters have started their own mystery quilts.  Cindy provided the first set of instructions at the meeting.  She is using a quilt by Pam McMahon called ‘Simply Done’. Sorry, no picture is available because IT IS A MYSTERY!!!  This month we will be cutting strips from 6 different valued (light and dark) fabrics.  Cindy will reveal a new step every month. . . stay tuned.
